State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a head-on crash about 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, along Towamensing Trail in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Shellyann Sinclair, 37, of Albrightsville, was operating a 2007 Jeep Compass southbound, and Matthew A. Wollett, 26, also of Albrightsville, was driving a 1998 Mazda B250 northbound.As the two vehicles rounded a curve they collided head-on, troopers said.Sinclair was injured and taken to the Geisinger Medical Center-Wyoming, Plains Township, Luzerne County, for treatment.Wollett was not injured.
