Schuylkill crashes

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on four crashes, including two hit and runs, investigated by troopers over the past weekend.

A one vehicle crash occurred about 5:22 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, along SR901 in Norwegian Township. Troopers said Mark Rosenberger, 43, of Minersville, was driving a 2011 Kia Sportage westbound when he lost control on the snow-covered road. The vehicle left the road and struck a concrete post.Rosenberger was not injured.A one vehicle crash occurred about 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22, along SR895 in Washington Township.Troopers said Trevor W. Dunkelberger, 24, of Auburn, was driving a 2010 Toyota Scion westbound and negotiating a left curve when he lost control. The vehicle slid off the road and struck a tree.Dunkelberger was not injured. He was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.Troopers investigated a hit and run that occurred on Saturday about 10 a.m. along W. Bacon St., in Palo Alto.Troopers said a parked 1997 Ford F150 truck was struck on the driver's side mirror by another vehicle, probably a snowplow, whose driver continued on without stopping.The second hit and run was reported on Sunday in the parking lot of Renninger's Farmers Market in North Manheim Township.A parked 1995 Chevrolet Silverado was struck on the passenger side by another vehicle whose driver fled the scene.The damage was discovered at 1:30 p.m. and the incident occurred sometime between that time and 12:30 p.m., troopers said.
