The goal is to surpass the donation from last year of 180 boxes to Operation Touch of Home.The troop says thank you for the community's continued support for the overseas military troops.Orders are due before March 1.PVEN needsThe food pantry, commonly known as the PVEN, is helping to feed more and more families. The current needs include: peanut butter, jelly, and macaroni and cheese.Anyone wishing to donate these items can bring them to the PVEN in the McIlhaney part of Brodheadsville, near the Chestnuthill Diner, on Tuesday mornings or leave them at a designated spot in any of the supporting churches.CWU to meetChurch Women United will hold a business meeting at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 27, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Stroudsburg.The unit is also seeking local churches to host several celebrations, including the March 2, World Day of Prayer; May 4, Friendship Day, and the Nov. 23, World Community Day.Anyone needing more information can contact Betty at (570) 629-0649.
