A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI).

State police at Schuylkill Haven said William J. Kling Jr., 24, of Tremont, was stopped while operating a 1995 Dodge Ram about 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, along SR125 at Middle Creek Road, in Frailey Township, during the course of an unrelated investigation. At the time troopers were involved in a probe of a vehicle pursuit that occurred earlier.Kling was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then placed under arrest and transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers added.
