School district date changes

Schools will be closed in the Northern Lehigh School District on Monday, Jan. 16, to observe the Martin Luther King Holiday. There are no classes on Jan. 16, but it is a Teacher In-Service Day as scheduled.School will be open on Friday, Feb. 17, as a make-up day for the weather-related school closing at the beginning of the school year.Slatington Lions ClubSlatington Lions Club members celebrating birthdays include Jeff Kunkle (Jan. 6), Gary Luede (Jan. 12), Richard Fox (Jan. 13) and John Stenger (Jan. 14).
