Lenny Ogozalek, Panther Valley (18-5).Notes - Yanovich, who is ranked third in the state in AAA by Pennsylvania Wrestling Rankings, remains on top despite 3-0 upset loss to Nazareth's Tyrone Klump, who is ranked 12th. Hoats went 5-0 the past week, including a 5-3 decision over Ogozalek, to take over second. Ogozalek currently leads his team in wins.113 - 1. Colin Mashack, Tamaqua, So. (21-1); 2. Sean Bianco, Pleasant Valley, Jr. (16-1); 3. Josh Evans, Palmerton, So. (17-1).Honorable Mention - Josh Gornick, Lehighton, Fr. (5-4).Notes - The top three combined to go 19-0 this past week. Mashack had three first-period pins and a major to go with two forfeit wins and has won 18 straight times. Bianco registered three tech falls, including one where he tallied 28 points, and is currently ranked 14th in the state in AAA. Evans, also ranked 14th in the state in AA, went 5-0 at Saturday's Anthracire Duals.120 - 1. Sam Oberlander, Palmerton, Sr. (19-1); 2. James Felipa, Pleasant Valley, Jr. (15-2); 3. Nick Schaeffer, Lehighton, So. (6-5).Notes - Oberlander completed a perfect 6-0 and has won 10 straight now. He is currently ranked 23rd in the state in Class AA. Felipa went 7-0 and aided the Bears' big victory over Nazareth with a decision win. Schaeffer went over .500 for the season with a 5-0 week at the Anthracite Duals, although only two of those wins actually came on the mats.126 - 1. Michael Dahlstrom, Pleasant Valley, Sr. (19-0); 2. Dilon Masington, Palmerton, Jr. (13-6), 3. Brian Ohl, Jim Thorpe, Jr. (13-9).Notes - Dahlstrom, ranked third in the state in AAA, remains as the lone unbeaten regular in the TIMES NEWS area. He went 7-0 for the week, including a 7-2 decision win over 13th-ranked Ian Evans. Masington went 3-2 at Anthracite Duals. His losses were to two grapplers with comined 24-9 record. Ohl moves into the top three after finishing fourth at the North Schuylkill Tournament over the weekend. He currently leads the Olympians in wins.132 - 1. Ernie Klingel, Pleasant Valley, Sr. (15-3); 2. Zack Christman, Palmerton, Fr. (9-5); 3. Dylan Rynkiewicz, Tamaqua, Fr. (13-9).Honorable Mention - Kyle Baumann, Northern Lehigh, Sr. (7-4).Notes - Klingel has won eight straight, including a perfect 7-0 week which included a tough 9-7 victory over ES South's Colby Ems and a major over Parkland's Grady Millick. Christman moves up to second and went 3-2 with two pins at Anthracite Duals. Rynkiewicz only went 2-4 but three of his losses were decisions he dropped by a combined seven points.138 - 1. Alex Yanovich, Pleasant Valley, Sr. (15-4); 2. Ethan Keichel, Northwestern, Sr. (16-6); 3. Joseph Bubble, Palmerton, Jr. (7-4).Honrable Mention - Nathan Farber, Northern Lehigh, Fr. (6-6).Notes - Yanovich retains top spot after 6-1 week. Earned tough 3-2 win over Spring Grove's Mason Bentzel (12-2) while loss came at hands of Parkland's Vincent Kassis. Keichel, who went 4-0 at Zephyr Duals, is ranked 23rd in state in AA and owns a win over the 14th-ranked Paul Sloand of Saucon Valley. Bubble went 3-2 at Anthracite Duals, including an impressive 5-3 victory over Sloand, to move into the top three.145 - 1. Ty Herzog, Northern Lehigh, Jr. (13-5); 2. David Gehr, Pleasant Valley, Sr. (12-6); 3. Zach Graver, Palmerton, Fr. (13-8).Honorable Mention - Nick Toth, Tamaqua, Sr. (10-6); Ian Zimmerman, Lehighton, Jr. (5-5).Notes - Herzog occupies the top spot after a 5-1 week, including a 4-0 record with two pins at the Zephyr Duals. He currently is ranked the seventh best wrestler in the state in AA. Gehr suffered three losses, two by a combined four points and another to a state-ranked wrestler. Graver, who was 3-2 at Anthracite Duals and has am 8-4 mark at 145 pounds, moves into third.152 - 1. Cody Grohotolski, Palmerton, Sr. (16-3); 2. Evan Mashack, Tamaqua, Sr. (17-5); 3. Anthony Farole, Lehighton, Sr. (12-6).Honorable Mention - Dylan Hofmann, Northern Lehigh, Sr. (12-4); Joell Toledo, Pleasant Valley, Jr. (10-8).Notes - After 6-0 week, Grohotolski takes over the No. 1 spot. He has eight pins this season, seven of them coming in first period. Mashack drops one slot after two recent losses this week, although that duo has combined 25-4 record. Farole, who was 4-1 at Anthracite Duals and maintains third, owns a 3-2 win over Hofmann.160 - 1. Mike Ortiz, Northwestern, Jr. (15-4); 2. Brandon Silkowski, Tamaqua, Sr. (17-6); 3. Marcus Hardiman, Northern Lehigh, Jr. (9-5).Honorable Mention - Zach Coleman, Lehighton, Sr. (6-4).Notes - Ortiz moves into top spot after 4-0 showing at Zephyr Duals. The Tiger is currently ranked 19th in the state in AA. Two of his losses are to Saucon Valley's Travis Buddock (ranked 18th in AA) and another to Dallastown's Cooper Deller (ranked 12th in AAA). Silkowski had 3-3 week, although the three decision losses were by a combined 11 points. Hardiman takes over third after 4-0 showing at Zephyr Duals. He is 7-1 since a 2-4 start.170 - 1. Mike Balliet, Lehighton, Sr. (12-3); 2. Kyle Greenawald, Northern Lehigh, Sr. (9-3); 3. Mitchell Evans, Northwestern, Jr. (12-8).Notes - Balliet, ranked 11th in state in AA, suffered two losses at Anthracite Duals. One was to Tri-Valley's Sam Scheib (15-2) while the other was to Penns Valley's Matt Swartz (16-2). Greenawald posted 4-0 mark with three pins and forfeit win at Zephyr Duals. Evans also was at Zephyr Duals, and went 3-1 with two pins and a tech fall.182 - 1. Levi Veppert, Northwestern, Sr. (21-2); 2. Richard Nase, Panther Valley, So. (14-7); 3. Jake Christman, Palmerton, Jr. (10-7).Honorable Mention - Joseph Smith, Lehighton, Jr. (7-6).Notes - Veppert had 4-0 mark at Zephyr Duals and is ranked eighth in state in Class AA. One of his losses is to the state's top-ranked wrestler in AA at 195 pounds, Saucon Valley's Ray O'Donnell. Nase currently holds the No. 17 ranking in the state at AA and went 4-1 at the Anthracite Duals, his only loss to Tri-Valley's Lyle Troutman (ranked 13th at 195). Christman maintains third spot with 4-1 performance at Anthraice Duals. He had two pins and a major among his wins.195 - 1. David Tirpak, Northwestern, Sr. (10-2); 2. Hunter Deihl, Pleasant Valley, Jr. (11-7); 3. John Horvath, Panther Valley, Sr. (11-9).Notes - Tirpak, despite not wrestling this week, stays in top spot. Of 10 wins, five are by fall and two by tech fall. His losses are to two wresrlers with combined 29-8 record. Deihl was 4-3 this week and nine of his 11 wins have come via the pin. Horvath used a 4-1 mark at the Anthracite Duals to improve his record above the .500 mark.220 - 1. Kane Kralik, Palmerton, Sr. (17-1); 2. Rian Shubeck, Panther Valley, Fr. (11-8); 3. Kyle Schomp, Northern Lehigh, Sr. (8-7).Notes - Kralik, who was 6-0 this past week, owns 15 falls in his 17 wins and is ranked 12th in the state in AA. Shubeck moves up to second after 4-1 effort at Anthracite Duals. Schomp suffered rough week, but did register a pin. He has two falls and three majors this season.285 - 1. Mike Benner, Pleasant Valley, Jr. (8-6); 2. Ryan Ruberto, Jim Thorpe, Jr. (11-6); 3. Skyler Rosenberry, Palmerton, Jr. (10-6).Honorable Mention - Luke Matsago, Tamaqua, Jr. (9-6).Notes - Benner remains in No. 1 spot. He went just 4-3 this week but his huge pin in Nazareth match helped PV record first-ever win against the Blue Eagles. Ruberto took second at the North Schuylkill Tournament over the weekend while Rosenberry moves into top three after solid 4-1 record with four pins at Anthracite Duals.(Compiled by Rod Heckman)
