No injuries were reported in a two vehicle crash that occurred about 8:12 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, along SR61 in New Castle Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Vernon Steeley, 73, of Stevens, Bradford County, was driving a 2008 GMC Sierra pickup truck southbound and attempted to make a U-turn at the bottom of the Frackville-St. Clair grade to go northbound.He pulled into the path of a 2002 Jeep Liberty operated by Jennifer Hewes, 34, of Frackville. The front of the Sierra struck the dirver's side of the Liberty.Troopers said Steeley was cited for causing the crash.
