Pocono Mountain Regional police reported the arrest of a Monroe County resident on outstanding warrants.

Police said about 2:56 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1, officers were dispatched to the area of 5 Mailbox Road and Mary St., in Pocono Lake, for a dispute between family members.During the course of the investigation police ran routine checks on the individuals involved. Officers learned that one of the males, identified as Norman Tayqon Briscoe, 23, of Pocono Lake, had several warrants for his arrest issued out of the Lackawanna County sheriff's office. The warrants were based on pending drug charges in Scranton.Briscoe was taken into custody and turned over to Scranton police.
