Linda DeCindio will continue as chairman

Schuylkill Township supervisors held their reorganization meeting last night. No major changes were made.

Linda DeCindio was reappointed as the chairman. She also served as the temporary chairman of the reorganizational meeting.Charles Hosler was appointed as the vice chairman. Mary E. Bubel was appointed as secretary/treasurer and garbage fee collector at $13 per hour and a 2 percent bonus of total garbage collections.Hosler was appointed as road master. DeCindio was appointed as police liaison.The wages of the maintenance department were set at $14 per hour, with Joseph Pedron to be paid $15. This includes maintenance and plowing.Jesse Zimmerman was appointed as part-time police officer, at a rate of $15 per hour, 20 hours per week.Attorney Michael Greek was retained as legal counsel for the township at a rate of $80 per hour.Daniel DeCindio was appointed as code enforcement officer for the township at a salary of $175 per month.Thomas Slane was appointed as emergency management coordinator and Dennis Harris as deputy. Alfred Benesch was retained as the township engineer.William Brior was appointed as the sewer enforcement officer. David Shelcusky was appointed to audit the township records for 2012.Central Tax Bureau (Centax) was appointed as the new tax collector. Joseph Blickley was appointed to the vacancy board.Linda DeCindio will serve as the voting delegate to the Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission and Daniel DeCindio will serve as the alternate.Hosler was appointed as the COG voting delegate.William Alonge was appointed to a three-year term on the zoning board. Frank Fabrizio was appointed to a three-year term on the planning board. Burke and Burke were retained as the attorneys for the zoning board at a rate of $85 per hour.Supervisors set the tax collector commission at 5 percent.They also voted to raise the penalty on the garbage fees from $5 per month to $20 per month.
