Domestic incidents

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on two arrests stemming from domestic incidents, both occurring on New Years Day.

About 12:20 a.m. officers were dispatched to A Country Place in Tobyhanna, for a domestic report. Through the course of an investigation police learned that Eric Mart, 45, and Tracie Wolford, 40, both of Hellertown, were traveling in a vehicle when they began to argue. Mart then allegedly punched Wolford repeatedly and ripped out her hair. Wolford exited the vehicle at which time Mart also left the car and tackled her.Wolford had numerous injuries to her face and head and also had large clumps of hair ripped out of her head.Mart was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault. He was lodged in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment, police added.The second incident occurred about 1:46 a.m. at 311 Spruce Drive, in Pcoono Summit.Officers were called to that location for a reported domestic dispute. On scene officers spoke with Lori Wodard and Christopher Montgomery, both of Pocono Summit.Police said the two got into a verbal argument and turned physical. Wodard sufferd injuries to her face and torso and was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment, police said.Montgomery was taken into custody on domestic assault charges and placed in the county jail pending arraignment.
