Walnutport police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a business in the borough.

Police said a white female robbed the Dollar General Store, located at 440 Main St., about 1:54 p.m. Monday.The suspect is described as being 40 to 50 years old, about five-feet tall, last seen wearing a green jacket with yellow stripes, jeans - possibly gray in color, and a denim colored hat. She was also wearing large dark sunglasses.The suspect fled the store in a GMC Envoy, silver/gray in color, with a state registration plate. The vehicle has an American flag ribbon on the rear hatch in red, white and blue. It was last seen traveling northbound on SR145. Police didn't reveal what type of weapon the woman used, or how much she got away with.This morning it was reported that police had a suspect in custody last night.
