Jim Thorpe police report DUI arrests

Jim Thorpe police reported on three driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made following investigations.

Police said Robert R. Beck Jr., 47, of 177 Municipal Rd., New Ringgold, was stopped for a traffic violation about 12:52 a.m. on May 11, along Lentz Trail. Beck displayed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. He was taken to the Lehighton hospital for a blood test. The result revealed a .11BAC. He was charged with two counts of DUI, and several summary traffic violations, police said.Police said on July 26 about 11:22 a.m. they were dispatched to a one vehicle crash at 359 Broadview Drive. Upon arrival police observed a 1998 Ford Explorer in the woods.The driver was found slumped over the wheel and unconscious. She was identified as Carol Lynn Scott, 48, of 186 S. Second St., rear, Lehighton. Scott was treated by emergency personnel and later flown to St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, for treatment.A blood test was administered and the result revealed a .35BAC. She was charged with two counts of DUI, and one summary charge of careless driving.On Oct. 14 about 6:51 p.m. officers stopped Robert George Hydro, 55, of 218 Center St., Jim Thorpe, at 10th and Center sts., for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence and was transported to the Lehighton hospital for a blood test. The test results showed a .20BAC.Hydro was charged with two counts of DUI, and several summary traffic violations, police said.
