Woman cited over custody dispute

A Shenandoah woman was cited by Tamaqua police following a custody dispute on Oct. 28.

Patrolman Matt Houser was dispatched to 131 W. Union St., at 4:14 p.m. when two parties became involved in a disagreement concerning custody. Houser explained the steps each parent would need to take, which didn't make the mother, Halley Leger, 21, very happy. She became aggravated and confrontational, kicking a parked car and yelling profanities. She failed to heed the officer's requests to cease and desist, which earned her a citation for disorderly conduct.
