Lansford man faces charges after disturbance

Anthony Buskirk, 23, of 31 Jones St., Lansford, faces charges from an incident which occurred on April 25 at 2:37 a.m. on Jones Street. Charges were filed by Officer Jeffrey Ohl. Buskirk is charged with two counts of persistent disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and criminal mischief.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, here's what happened:Ohl was dispatched to Jones Street for a fight between two males, one of whom was on the ground. Neighbors told him one man was on the front porch of 33 Jones St. He approached the porch and saw the man, later identified as Buskirk, lying against the railing. As Ohl approached, Buskirk stood up and tried to enter the front door, yelling "the (expletive) cops are here!"Ohl asked Buskirk what had happened, but he was uncooperative and refused to give any information. Ohl noticed that Buskirk's left eye was black and blue, and swollen shut. His other eye was red and glassy, and Buskirk smelled strongly of alcohol.Ohl spoke with an occupant of the home, who told him that Buskirk was not permitted inside because he was fighting with his brother.Meanwhile, Buskirk kept yelling obscenities at Ohl and at the occupants of the house. He was asked to stop, but kept yelling and trying to get inside to fight people. It was when Buskirk stepped forward and punched out the glass in the storm door that he was arrested. But he still kept yelling obscenities and trying to fight everyone.
