Ben Salem UCC's Vacation Bible School was held from June 25-29 at the church, on Churchill Rd. in Lehighton. Fifthy-seven children, nursery school through fifth grade, learned about God through music, crafts, games and activities at the the Bible school, whose theme was Amazing Wonders Aviation.

A closing day event featured a picnic, a moon bounce, a 55-foot inflatable obstacle course bouncer, water ice, picnic foods and games. The movie Madagascar 2 was projected onto the side of the church after dark.
