Daughter-mother incident probed

Published January 10. 2012 05:01PM

Amber Reenock, 27, of 44 E. Water St., Lansford, faces charges from an incident which took place at 11:45 a.m. Nov. 26 at her house. Charges of simple assault and harassment were filed by Officer Brian Horos. According to an affidavit of probable cause:

Horos was dispatched to a report of a domestic dispute at the 44 E. Water St. address. Upon arrival he was met by the victim/complainant, Roxanne Reenock, who had blood around her mouth and the lower part of her face.

Horos asked her what happened, and she told him that she had given her daughter, Amber Reenock, money on Nov. 25 to pick up her medications from the drug store. She went into her daughter's bedroom to ask if she had picked up her medications and Amber began to scream obscenities at her.

The victim then went downstairs. Amber ran downstairs after her and began screaming obscenities at her mother, grabbed her by the hair and hit her in the head and face and kicked her in the ribs and side.

Due to the extent of Roxanne Reenock's injuries, Horos summoned an ambulance.

He then went upstairs and arrested Amber Reenock, placing her in the cruiser. He went back inside to stay with the victim until the ambulance arrived and took her to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, for treatment.
