Divorces started

Cheryl A. Pierce, 218 Third St., Weatherly, filed against Charles Pierce, same address. They were married May 24, 1980.

Mary A. Abamonte, 2640 Stoney Ridge Rd., Palmerton, filed against Stephen Abamonte, 618 Carney Rd., Palmerton. They were married Dec. 15, 1984.

Matthew Bonser, 205 Vine St., Lehighton, filed against Amy Bonser, 60 Willow St., Lehighton. They were married Aug. 20, 2011.

Mark Kokinda, 33 W. White St., Summit Hill, filed against Kimberly Kokinda, same address. They were married Sept. 22, 2001.

Cynthia Pena, 4416 Aberdale Rd., Philadelphia, filed against Daniel E. Campos, same address. They were married Jan. 16, 2011.

Gregory Allan White, 19 W. Bertsch St., Lansford, filed against Melissa M. White, 18 1/2 E. Second St., Apt. 3, Coudersport, Potter County. They were married March 5, 2010.



The following actions were filed as mortgage foreclosures for alleged defaults on loans.

Wells Fargo Bank, c/o 3476 Stateview Blvd., Fort Mill, S.C., filed against Randy E. Merriman, 136 Chippewa Trail, Albrightsville, over property at that address. Sought is $220,371.39 and continuing interest.

Midfirst Bank, c/o 999 N.W. Grand Blvd., Oklahoma City, Okla., filed against Edward Molloy, 148 Hiawatha Trail, Albrightsville, over property at that address. Sought is $143,101.29 and continuing interest.

Flagstaff Bank, c/o 5151 Corporate Drive, Troy, Mich., filed against Rocco Delio, 430 W. Iron St., Summit Hill, over property at that address. Sought is $68,103.42 and continuing interest.

JP Morgan Chase Bank, c/o 1111 Polaris Parkway, Columbus, Ohio, filed against Thomas E. and Jill M. Hylka, 880 Edgemont Ave., Palmerton, over property at that address. Sought is $141,680.10 and continuing interest.

Confession of judgment

Legacy Bank, a division of First National Bank of Pennsylvania, c/o 125 N. State St., Clarks Summit, filed an action, as a confession of judgment, against Abbey Road Markings Inc., SR93, Box 190-C, Beaver Meadows.

The suit alleges the defendant has defaulted on a note advanced by the plaintiff. Sought is $47,349.81 plus interest, costs and fees.

Civil trials

Two pending suits were scheduled for trial this week.

In a case involving Mark and Wen-Shih Savacool, 701 Fireline Rd., Palmerton, against Douglas Hawk, 383 N. Fireline Rd., Parryville, a verdict was returned in favor of the defendant.

The plaintiffs file suit for damages for injuries sustained when Mark Savacool was allegedly assaulted by Hawk. With the verdict for Hawk, no damages were awarded. The trial was before Judge Joseph J. Matika.

A case involving Karen L. and Howard G. Williams, 340 Stagecoach Road West, Lehighton, against Ruth Ann Gintz, 615 Ore St., Bowmanstown, was dismissed before the trial started on a motion for summary judgment in favor of Gintz. The case was before Judge Steven R. Serfass.

Credit defaults

The following actions were filed by credit card companies, or their collection agencies, for alleged defaults on credit card/loan accounts.

Midland Funding, San Diego, Calif., filed against Francine Collevechio, 183 W. White Bear Drive, Summit Hill, seeking $12,526.86.

Citibank, N.A., Sioux Falls, S.D., filed against John J. Kline Jr., 5 Barbara Ave., Lehighton, seeking $5,216.24.

Portfolio Recovery Associates, Norfolk, Va., filed against Christopher T. Smith, 484 Columbia Ave., Palmerton, seeking $3,408.

Target National Bank, Philadelphia, filed against Virginia C. Henninger, 828 E. Patterson St., Lansford, seeking $5,587.72.
