Members of the Tamaqua Area Faith Fellowship Network (TAFFN) held a free showing of the movie 'Courageous' on Sunday in the Tamaqua Middle School auditorium. The movie was about four men, their work and fatherhood. The movie also stressed the connection between fatherhood and community. Members of the TAFFN spoke extensively with community leaders, law enforcement personnel, educators, and members of the community about how to make the area a safe and enjoyable community in which to live and raise a family. Much of the feedback pointed to the simple fact that healthy communities have healthy families and this event is just one step in achieving the goal of a strong family network. A large flat screen television was also chanced off to a lucky father after the movie. For more information about future TAFFN events, call (570) 668-2818.
