State police at the Lehighton barracks said they arrested Richard Hartranft, 46, no address given, after the man reported for a hearing at the magisterial district office in Jim Thorpe while he was under the influence of alcohol.

The incident happened at 4 p.m. Dec. 21 at the office of District Justice Edward Lewis, Center Avenue, Jim Thorpe.Police said Hartranft was arrested for a summary charge of public drunkenness.
