Pocono Mountain Regional Police arrested Efrain Colon-Cruz, 52, of Tobyhanna, for driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop at 12:30 a.m. Dec. 18 on Rt. 423 in Coolbaugh Township.

Police said he was stopped for a Vehicle Code violation, after which time police detected an odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle. The driver failed a field sobriety test and was taken into custody, having been transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test to determine his BAC level.
