The Joint Operating Committee of the Carbon Career and Technical Institute reorganized at Thursday evening's regularly scheduled meeting.

Darlene Yeakel of Palmerton Area School District will be replacing former JOC member Carl Bieling.Andrew Yenser of Lehighton Area School District and Anthony DeMarco of Panther Valley School District were acknowledged for their reappointment to the JOC for three year terms.Thomas Henry of Jim Thorpe Area School District and William Gerhard of Weatherly Area School District will also continue as members of the JOC.Yenser was elected to serve as Chairman and Yeakel was elected to serve as Vice-Chairman.Carol Boyce, Palmerton Area School District superintendent, was appointed as the Superintendent of Record for CCTI. Boyce will be replacing Panther Valley School District Superintendent Rosemary Porembo in that role.The following were appointed as alternate representatives for the JOC for a one year term: Gerald Strubinger (Jim Thorpe), Wayne Wentz (Lehighton), Joshua Smale (Palmerton), Michelle Markovich (Panther Valley), and Corey Gerhart (Weatherly).The regular meetings of the JOC will be held on the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.
