A Schuylkill County woman is facing charges for allegedly making a false report to police.

State police at Frackville said Michelle A. Mistishen, 32, of Barnesville, was cited. Troopers said on Wednesday, Dec. 14, about 2 p.m. Mistishen reported her 2001 Mercury Sable had been stolen from her residence. The vehicle was later found about three miles from her home, on Back Road, in Ryan Townhip, and had been involved in a crash.Troopers said through an investigation they learned that Mistishen was operating the car northbound and while negotiating a left hand curve the vehicle went onto the right berm and struck a tree.After the crash she reported that car had been stolen, troopers said. She will be charged pending completion of the investigation, troopers added.
