State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a theft incident in Carbon County.

Troopers said the theft occurred at 761 Old Stage Road, in Penn Forest Township. Unknown criminals stole a 40-foot aluminum ladder, a 28-foot orange fiberglass ladder and a 24-foot aluminum plank from the property. The items were on the ground behind the home. Red spray paint was used to mark the items, which had an estimated value of $1,000.The items are the property of Seitz Brothers Roofing, of Albrightsville, troopers said.Troopers are also investigating a burglary that occurred at 25 Sky High Drive, in Bartonsville, Jackson Township, Monroe County. Forced entry was made to the home and removed were several pieces of jewelry from a bedroom. The incident occurred sometime between overnight of Dec. 3-4.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 646-2271.
