Schuylkill crashes

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating three crashes on Tuesday, Nov. 29, all occurring along SR901 in Schuylkill County.

A hit-and-run accident was reported about 11:23 p.m. just east of Upper Beechwood Road, in Foster Township. Troopers said a 1991 Chevrolet Astro van was driven eastbound with the driver negotiating a left curve when it left the roadway. The vehicle traveled about 120 feet when the drivers' side impacted a utility pole, shearing it in half.After impact the vehicle spun about 180 degrees counter-clockwise and came to rest facing west in the driveway at 1475 SR901 (Sunbury Road). The driver then fled the scene. The van sustained heavy front end damage.Troopers are seeking the whereabouts of the driver.Troopers investigated a two vehicle crash about 1:39 p.m. in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Stella C. Bolinsky, 75, of Zion Grove, was driving a 1993 Cadillac Deville southbound in the parking lot of the Trail Gardens while Ann M. Luckey, 60, of Frackville, was operating a 1996 Audi AG Quattro westbound on 901. Bolinsky attempted to make a left turn onto 901 from the parking lot and pulled into the path of Luckey. The front of the Audi struck the left driver's side of the Cadillac.Bolinsky and a passenger with Luckey, Christine M. Ridge, 46, of Port Carbon, sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville. Luckey was not injured.Troopers cited Bolinsky for vehicle entering or crossing a roadway.Troopers probed a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 6:35 p.m. in Foster Township. Troopers said Donald F. Crego, 92, of Reading, was driving a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue eastbound when the vehicle began to spin out of control in a counter-clockwise direction after rounding a curve.After spinning about two times the vehicle left the roadway and struck several small trees along the berm. Crego was not injured. Troopers cited Crego for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
