A Lansford man was charged with driving under the influence after a one-vehicle accident in Summit Hill.

According to borough police, on July 21, police received a report of a crash at 128 E. White Bear Drive.During the investigation, it was learned that the vehicle that went off the road and crashed into a tree was owned by Edward Butterworth, 58, of 206 W. Water St. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol.Charges against Butterworth include two counts driving under the influence of alcohol and careless driving.
