Two Lackawanna County residents were jailed on Saturday on retail theft charges for an incident in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said troopers were called to the Sears store in the Schuylkill Mall, New Castle Township, about 3:15 p.m. for a report of two persons in custody of store security for theft.Troopers said Debra Ann Sacco, 56, of Scranton, and Danielle Marie Tommey, 38, of Old Forge, were observed placing various items in their purses and attempting to leave the store without paying for them.The two were placed under arrest for retail theft, as a felony three, and arraigned before on-call District Judge James Ferrier, of Orwigsburg. The two were committed to the county prison in Pottsville in lieu of $1,000 straight cash bail each.
