The theft of copper from a Schuylkill County site is being probed.

State police at Frackville said unknown criminals entered onto the property of Reading Anthracite, the Schuylkill Energy Rescource, located along SR54 in Mahanoy Township, and removed 100 feet of No. 2 copper 4 conductor from a converyor line on site. The copper wires being removed from the belt caused electrical problems for the company, troopers added. The incident occurred sometime between Nov. 8 and 11.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570)-874-5300.
