The Schuylkill County Conservancy hosted two Outdoor Learning Days at the lower dam of the Owl Creek Reservoir in Tamaqua for approximately 180 fifth graders from the Tamaqua Area School District and two classes from the Gillingham Charter School in Port Carbon.

Each student got a chance participating in hands-on learning stations about mammals, water quality, macroinvertebrates, trees birds and many other wildlife topics. At the end of the day, there was also a presentation on raptors for all of the students.
