A two-vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer, owned by Savage Trucking in Northampton, and a Jim Thorpe Area school bus, occurred at 12:40 p.m., Thursday in the center of downtown Jim Thorpe. According to Jim Thorpe Police Chief Joseph Schatz, the school bus was filled with 31 students at the time of the accident. The bus sustained major front-end damage, while the tractor trailer appeared to have sustained minimal to no damage. No injuries were reported. The children were dismissed early yesterday and were on their way home from school at the time. Borough police are investigating.
