The Lewistown Valley Garden Club held its anniversary dinner at St. Joseph's Social Hall in Summit Hill. President June Leiby conducted the business session. There were 20 members and guests in attendance.Donald Serfass provided a program on high wheel bikes and the history behind the wheel and vintage bikes. His displays included a vintage bike and vintage posters.The next meeting will be held Nov. 22 at Zion's Social Hall in the Lewistown Valley. Guest speaker will be Tom Reed, master gardener. The evening's arrangement theme will be "detergent containers," while the specimen will be a branch with berries.The club was organized in 1946 and is accepting new members.
