The November meeting of the Tamaqua Board of Health was held at the municipal building with James Gormley, Earl Boettger, Shirley Becker and Health Enforcement Officer James Barron in attendance.Barron reported making five spot check inspections: SS. Peter and Paul kitchen; St. Jerome's kitchen; La Dolce Casa; Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church ; and the Citizen's Fire Company. He also received and adjusted seven complaints: three concerning trash/rubbish; two no heat; one strong odor complaint; and one possible infestation. There were no cases of reportable diseases.The board meets the first Tuesday of each month, at 11:30 a.m., in the Tamaqua Municipal Building.Trinity UCCRev. Thomas Reinsel, interim pastor, will officiate at the 10 a.m. worship service Sunday in Trinity United of Church of Christ. Sunday school classes will meet at 8:45 a.m. Choir rehearsal is held Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. Upcoming events include an election day dinner on Nov. 8; benefit dinner for the family of Kimberly Mateyak Griffiths on Nov. 15, 6 p.m. at La Dolce Casa; Anthracite Philharmonic Orchestra concert on Dec. 10.Trinity will celebrate its golden anniversary on Nov. 13 with a service of rededication at 10 a.m., followed by a fellowship coffee and memorabilia display in Founder's Hall.Officials are interested in the creation of an email chain to provide timely updates on congregation information, such as coming events and cancellations. The service will include Holy Communion and a tribute to veterans. The service will be held at 8 a.m. and will include favorite hymns. The Contemporary service will continue to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.
