VFW Ladies AuxiliaryThe monthly meeting for the Ladies Auxiliary to Nesquehoning Memorial VFW Post 8008 will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8 at the Post home.President Amanda Breiner will preside. All members are invited to attend.CoaldaleVeterans' serviceFirst Congregational Church, Coaldale, will honor all veterans during a service at 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 6. A combined choir, comprised of members of various churches in the Panther Valley, will sing. In addition, a slide program of photos of local veterans will be presented. The public is invited to attend this special service.Also, Sunday is the last day to donate non-war related toys for the Samaritan's Purse collection. Packages will be sent to needy children all over the world. At 10 a.m. Sunday, Sunday School will be held. The church board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7.Choir rehearsal is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, followed by Bible Study at 7 p.m.
