Liquor board cites Carbon licensees

The Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board has cited two Carbon County licensees for violation of the state liquor code.

Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club, 676 Stewart Creek Rd., Mahanoy Township, was cited for fortified, adulterated and/or contaminated liquor; and for possessed or operated gambling devices or paraphernalia or permitted gambling or lotteries, poolselling and/or bookmaking on the licensed premises.Hickory Run Restaurant, HC 1 Box 90, SR534, Albrightsville, Kidder Township, was cited for used, or permitted to be used on the inside of the licensed premises, a loudspeaker or similar device whereby the sound of music or other entertainment, or the advertisement thereof, could be heard on the outside; and for violating the Clean Indoor Air Act in failing to post signage as required by the act.These charges will be brough before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can imposed a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
