A Carbon County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one vehicle crash that occurred about 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, in Monroe County.

State police at Lehighton said Edwin James Wolfe, 47, of Meckesville, was northbound on SR209 in Polk Township when he said he swerved to avoid another vehicle in the opposite direction.Wolfe lost control of his 1998 Jeep Cherokee which traveled across the oncoming lane and rolled over.Wolfe, who sustained minor injuries, was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment and a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.Polk Township Fire Company volunteers assisted at the scene.
