S. S. Palmer Elementary students were recently treated to a special guest and a special treat during National School Lunch Week. Molly The Cow, an educational character for The Nutrition Group, made an appearance at the S.S. Palmer cafeteria to help students learn how milk and dairy products provide calcium for strong bones and teeth. Molly, along with Palmerton Area's Food Service Director, Krista Avillion, handed out blueberry, banana low-fat smoothie samples to students at lunch. Molly's "moo-ving" message highlights the benefits of three or more servings from the dairy group daily.
