Three arrested for Luzrene robbery

Three person were arrested for an armed robbery at a Luzerne County service station.

State police at Hazleton identified the suspects as Kaelin James Kovalski, 27, Brian Thomas Stemple, 38, and Jolene Rose Vonglis, 25, all of White Haven.The three are charged with robbing the Dorrance Sunoco station located along Blue Ridge Trail, at Interstate 81, in Dorrance Township.Troopers said a suspect walked into the station and displayed a knife. He demanded money and fled into a wooded area behind the building. The incident occurred on Oct. 25. The three were arrested Friday, Oct. 28.Kovalski, who police believe was the one who entered with the knife, is charged with robbery, a felony one, criminal conspiracy-robbery, theft and receiving stolen property. Stemple and Vonglis are both charged with criminal conspiracy-robbery and receiving.All were arraigned before District Judge Gerald Feissner, of Freeland, and all were committed to the county prison in Wilkes-Barre in lieu of $100,000 straight cash bail each.
