A Pottsville man was cited by Tamaqua and Pottsville police in connection with the theft of a Carbon County Deputy Coroner's badge.

David John Rambo, 24, of 711 Mine St., allegedly took the badge from Ed Smith, 53, 325 Willing St., Tamaqua, when he stayed at Smith's house for a few weeks in 2010. Smith was notified of the theft after Rambo was discovered using the badge in the Pottsville area this year.Pottsville police charged Rambo with impersonating a public servant while Tamaqua police charged him with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
