HEATHER BACSICK/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS The Jim Thorpe Area School District Majorettes, Honor Guard, Flags, and Cheerleaders raised money for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation to help the fight against Breast Cancer. To raise funds the teams held a bake sale and basket raffle at the October 15th JT football game vs. Mahanoy Area. The Cheerleaders are advised by Julie Romanisko and Sarah Mass. The Majorettes, Honor Guard, and Flags are advised by Kelly Scott. Students from the L.B. Morris Elementary School also helped to raise money by selling tree of hope leaves. Some students from each team presented Dolly Woody, Executive Director of the NEPA affiliate for the Foundation, with a check for $731.
