St. John Lutheran Church, Lansford, will hold an informal worship tonight at 7 o'clock in the church.This will be a spiritual, peaceful evening service with Holy Communion. All are welcome to this relaxed, brief musical evening prayer. Registration is required and will be held at the center on Wednesday Oct. 26 from 5-10 p.m. during bingo.Halloween paradeThe annual Halloween parade by the students and staff of the Panther Valley Elementary School is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 31.Students will dress in costumes after lunch and the parade will commence from the elementary school at approximately 1:45 p.m.The parade route will follow Rhume Street to the post office, down Catawissa Street to Mermon Avenue and back to the school.Meeds Methodist ChurchThere will be a free community dinner at Meeds on Thursday, Oct. 26 from 5-7 p.m.All are welcome.NCFC ladies auxiliaryThe Ladies Auxiliary to the New Columbus Fire Company will hold a meeting Tuesday, Nov. 1 at the fire company at 7 p.m. with President Gerry McConnon presiding. The hospitality committee for this meeting will be Minnie Kennedy and Wilma Rose.
