Ronald M. Reis of Nesquehoning is announcing his candidacy for the Panther Valley School Board.

Reis is a 1982 graduate of Panther Valley High School. He has been an employee of Kovatch Mobile Equipment for the past 30 years. Reis has served as past president of the Nesquehoning Recreation Commission and he played an instrumental part in starting up the Panther Valley Youth Soccer Association and has served as president of the organization for several years.Reis was owner of the former Home Theater Video in Nesquehoning and is a registered Democrat. He is the son of Marie Reis and the late Kenneth Reis. He is married to the former Ann Marie Williams and has two children, Jessica and Jordan.His name will not appear on the ballot on Nov. 8 since he is a write-in candidate.
