Monroe crashes

State police at Fern Ridge reported on three crashes probed by troopers on Monroe County roadways.

A crash occurred about 1 p.m. on Oct. 19 along Effort Neola Road in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Mark C. Gurry, 48, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2002 Ford Taurus eastbound when the vehicle left the roadway on the right side and struck a ditch with the undercarriage, then a group of trees with the front end before coming to rest.Gurry sustained a minor injury in the crash but did not require immediate medical attention. Damages were disabling to the vehicle.Gurry was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.The second crash occurred about 4:55 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, along Merinsburg Road at SR115, in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Greg Tucker, 21, of Saylorsburg, operating a 2005 Ford Ranger pickup truck, rear-ended a 1990 Ford Mustang driven by Clyde Edwards, 53, of Albrightsville.Edwards was injured and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment of minor injuries. The Mustang had to be towed from the scene.The third crash occurred about 8:14 a.m. on Oct. 19 along Cays Road in Jackson Township. Troopers said Kristi K. Boe, 23 of Horesheads, N.Y., was driving a 2000 Saturn SL southbound when she drove off the west side of the road and struck a concrete drainage culvert with the front passenger side. After impact the car spun 90 degrees and came to rest on the road facing west.Boe and her passenger, David R. Steele, 21, of Bartonsville, were not injured. Damages were disabling to the vehicle, trooper said.Boe was cited for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.
