Four area residents among 22 placed in Schuylkill County probation program

Four area residents were among 22 who placed into Schuylkill County's Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition(ARD) probation program for first time offenders. He were recommended by District Attorney James P. Goodman.

Senior Judge D. Michael Stine admitted them into the program and if they complete the conditions he imposed then their record will be wiped clean.All were placed for a year.James John Barron, 63, of 521 Franklin Avenue, Tamaqua, on a charge of terroristic threat was assessed $350 for the cost of program, pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA), and perform 10 hours community service. Barron was cited by West Penn Township Patrolman Dale Osenbach, following incident on property of Harry and Shirley Barron, 13312 Clamtown Road.Thomas Charles Rowlands, 62, Wildcat Mountain Road, Walker Township, on a driving under the influence (DUI) charge was assessed $500, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to CJEA, $25 to EMS, attend alcohol highway safe driving school, perform 10 hours community service and driver's license suspended 30 days.
