Residents in Tamaqua are asking each other, "Why does the bull horn on top of the American Hose Company building keep sounding?" Is there a fire? Should I be worried? The answer is no. The alert system is old and electrical shorts in the wires have been causing the bull horn to sound. Borough workers are going from one pole to another tracing the source of the short that is causing all the false alarms.
