A Monroe County driver is facing charges, including driving under the influence (DUI), following an incident that occurred about 11:09 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, along SR940 in Tobyhanna.

Pocono Mountain Regional police stopped a vehicle at the above-stated location and time for traffic code violations.The driver was identified as Chase Fitzgerald, 26, of Pocono Summit.He showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests.He was placed under arrest for suspected DUI.During a routine pat-down search officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia on his person.A charge of DUI and drug counts will be filed, police added.
