Lehighton business hoping to have help to feed the hungry

A Lehighton business, Kovatch Sales and Service, 420 N. First St., is hosting a "Help Feed the Hungry" food donation drive to help the less fortunate make it through the holidays.

Nancy Kovatch Patton, business owner, said that Kovatch Sales and Service will be accepting food donation for the local food banks for the holidays.Patton is planning to promote the venture in her car care and car sales ads."Also a portion of sales of each of our cars will also be donated to the local food pantry," she said. She said that she is hoping to fill up the vehicles parked in the showroom."We are hoping to have everything dropped off by Nov. 14 so we can deliver before Thanksgiving," she said.Patton noted that even if folks are not planning to buy a car, she will welcome their visit to donate a canned goods or non perishable food item.Items can be dropped off during regular business hours. Sales hours are from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and service and parts is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For additional information, call 610-377-0220.
