The youth group at St Paul Lutheran Church, Summit Hill, held a scavenger hunt through town recently. Some businesses, town residents, and even the local police were greeted by the youths in collecting the items on their list. Some of the things they had to collect included pictures of themselves with a police officer, menus and business cards from town businesses, and landmarks throughout Summit Hill. The children had to spread the word of God to others and help their neighbors by sweeping their sidewalk and taking out trash. Many of the youth were able to find things such as eggs, oregano, and a $50 bill through creative measures. It was a night of fun for everyone involved, including the parents. Sunday School is held every Sunday from 9-10 a.m. at the church and youth group activities are scheduled once per month. The curriculum is non-denominational and geared to spread the word of God through lessons, activities, and helping one another.
