Franklin Township supervisors are requiring people using or living in a mobile home along with the property owner to be jointly responsible to pay costs of garbage pickup.

Supervisors added this amendment to the garbage collection ordinance on Tuesday night.This entitles the township to bill the person generating the trash or the property owner for payment.Supervisors also approved a request from Franklin Township Fire Police to assist at the Palmerton Halloween Parade.Supervisors approved extending dental insurance coverage for children of employees, from age 19 to 26.The board also moved to reschedule the November meeting from Nov. 15 to Nov. 22 to give the secretary additional time to complete the 2012 budget.
