A Mahanoy City man faces charges stemming from a hit and run accident Sunday in Rush Township.

At 1:44 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, a vehicle reportedly struck several signs on Lincoln Drive then fled the scene. Officers discovered the suspect vehicle on Pine Creek Drive and interviewed Marcos Miranda, 59. Miranda admitted striking the signs and driving away.He was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for blood tests.Charges are pending.
