A hit and run driver is being sought in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said a 1991 beige in color Ford Taurus was driven westbound on the Morea Road, in West Mahanoy Township, about 8:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12. The driver failed to negotiate a left turn at the intersection with Oak St. The car went onto the berm and struck a fence at 500 Oak St. It went through the fence and onto the property.The driver then fled the scene. The property is owned by New Hope Wesleyan Church, of Frackville, troopers said.A witness was able to secure the license plate and a description of the vehicle. The investigation into the crash is continuing.
