Erin Rupell, Lehighton, graduated magna cum laude in June from Elmira College in Elmira, N.Y., with a bachelor of science degree in biology/pre-dentistry.

She was a member of Tri-Beta Biology Honor Society and served as a resident advisor at the college.Her future plans include attending dental school.While attending Elmira, Erin was a member of the Soaring Eagles varsity field hockey, soccer, basketball and softball teams. She was a member of dorm council and served as an orientation leader. In the spring of 2010, she studied in San Salvador, Bahamas for five weeks.Erin is the daughter of John and Rhonda Rupell of Lehighton. She is the granddaughter of Melvin and Maryann Muffley, Lehighton, and John and Patricia Rupell, Palmerton. She is also the great-granddaughter of Stella Behler and Lila Rupell of Lehighton, and Helen Ahner of Palmerton.She is a 2007 graduate of Lehighton Area High School.
